Arjuna’s Arrival and Reunion on the Sacred Mountain
सो<न्तरिक्षमवप्लुत्य विधूय सहसा गदाम्,महाबाहु भीमने युद्धके मुहानेपर गर्जना करते हुए सहसा आकाशमें उछलकर गदा घुमायी और उसे वायुके समान वेगसे मणिमानपर दे मारा, मानो देवराज इन्द्रने किसी दैत्यपर वज्रका प्रहार किया हो
so 'ntarikṣam avaplutya vidhūya sahasā gadām | mahābāhur bhīmaseno yuddhake mukhāne 'par garjanāṃ kurvan sahasā ākāśam utplutya gadāṃ ghumāyitvā tāṃ vāyusama-vegataḥ maṇimān prati prāhiṇot, yathā devarāja indro daitye vajraṃ nipātayet ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Rồi Bhīmasena, bậc dũng sĩ tay mạnh, gầm vang ngay nơi tuyến đầu chiến trận, bất thần bật vọt lên không trung. Vung chùy xoay tròn, chàng phóng nó về phía Maṇimān với tốc độ như gió—tựa Indra, vua chư thiên, giáng lôi chùy xuống một loài quỷ. Cảnh ấy khắc họa quyết tâm dữ dội của Bhīma trong cuộc chiến chính nghĩa, và hình tượng quen thuộc của sử thi: công lý thần linh soi bóng trong chiến tranh của loài người.
