Book 3 (Āraṇyaka-parva), Adhyāya 13 — Alliance Gathering; Arjuna’s Praise of Keśava; Draupadī’s Duḥkha-nivedana; Assurances and Vows

Righteous counsel, when accepted, prevents calamity and preserves social order; ignoring dharmic guidance leads to unrest and suffering, especially within a ruling lineage.
Vāyudeva reflects on the outcome that would have followed had his advice been heeded: the Kurus would have remained secure and dharma would have been maintained, addressing a Kuru leader with the honorific ‘Kuruvardhana’ and ‘dharmajña’.
