सर्वमागमयामास पाण्डवानां विचेष्टितम्‌ । धृतराष्ट्रात्मजो राजा गूढै: प्रणिहितै श्चरै:

Transliteration

sarvam āgamayāmāsa pāṇḍavānāṁ viceṣṭitam | dhṛtarāṣṭrātmajo rājā gūḍhaiḥ praṇihitaiś caraiḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana nói: Vua Duryodhana, con của Dhṛtarāṣṭra, đã biết tường tận—nhờ những gián điệp bí mật do mình cài đặt—mọi bước đi và mọi việc làm của các Pāṇḍava. Câu kệ nêu rõ: tham vọng chính trị và nỗi sợ có thể thúc đẩy việc do thám ngấm ngầm, đặt nền cho một bầu không khí đạo lý đầy giằng co trước cuộc chiến sắp tới.
