अध्याय २९ — वासुदेव–संजय संवादः
Karma, Varṇa-Dharma, and the Ethics of Governance
या नो भार्या: संजय वेत्थ तत्र तासां सर्वासां कुशल तात पृच्छे: । सुसंगुप्ता: सुरभयो5नवद्या: कच्चिद् गृहानावसथाप्रमत्ता:
yā no bhāryāḥ sañjaya vettha tatra tāsāṁ sarvāsāṁ kuśala tāta pṛcchaḥ | susaṁguptāḥ surabhayo 'navadyāḥ kaccid gṛhān āvasathāpramattāḥ ||
Yudhiṣṭhira nói: “Sañjaya, ông biết các phu nhân của những huynh đệ ta đang ở Hastināpura. Người thân mến, hãy hỏi thăm an lành của tất cả họ. Họ có được che chở chu đáo và sống đời trong sạch, không điều đáng trách chăng? Họ có được cung cấp các thứ hương liệu, dầu thơm và đồ trang sức cần dùng chăng? Trong nội thất gia đình, họ có luôn tỉnh thức, cẩn trọng, không buông lơi chăng?”
