प्रतिज्ञां दुष्करां कृत्वा पितुरर्थे कुलस्य च । अराजा चोध्वरिताश्व यथा सुविदितं तव । प्रतीतो निवसाम्येष प्रतिज्ञामनुपालयन्
pratijñāṁ duṣkarāṁ kṛtvā pitur arthe kulasya ca | arājā codhvaritāśva yathā suviditaṁ tava | pratīto nivasāmy eṣa pratijñām anupālayan |
Đã lập lời thệ khó khăn vì phụ vương và vì dòng tộc, ta quyết sống không ngai vàng và làm ūrdhvaretaḥ (người giữ phạm hạnh trọn đời), như ngươi vốn biết rõ. Hiểu thấu ý nguyện thầm kín của phụ vương—“mong cho nhà này không bị đoạn tuyệt, và danh tiếng mãi được mở rộng”—ta đã đưa Satyavatī (Kālī) về đây. An nhiên, ta ở lại nơi này, trung tín gìn giữ lời thệ ấy.
