Vidurā–Putra Saṃvāda: Utsāha, Kīrti, and Kṣātra Resolve
Udyoga-parva 131
Proper worship and ritual duty—especially the twin obligations of offerings to gods (svāhā) and to ancestors (svadhā)—sustain dharmic life and are traditionally associated with blessings such as longevity, prosperity, and continuity of lineage.
Vāyu is speaking about the results of correct propitiation: benevolent divine powers connected with human welfare, when duly honored, grant boons oriented toward auspicious worldly stability—life, wealth, and offspring—framing ritual observance as ethically meaningful support for household order.
