Udyoga-parva Adhyāya 130: Kuntī’s Instruction on Rājadharma and Daṇḍanīti
न्यमीलयन्त नेत्राणि राजानस्त्रस्तचेतस: । ऋते द्रोणं च भीष्मं च विदुरं च महामतिम्
vaiśaṃpāyana uvāca |
nyamīlayanta netrāṇi rājānas trastacetasaḥ |
ṛte droṇaṃ ca bhīṣmaṃ ca viduraṃ ca mahāmatim ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: Các vua, lòng run rẩy vì sợ hãi, đều nhắm mắt—trừ Droṇa, Bhīṣma và Vidura bậc đại tâm. Đối diện hiện thân vừa uy nghi vừa đáng sợ của Śrī Kṛṣṇa, phần đông không thể chịu nổi thị kiến ấy; chỉ những ai được ban sự vững chãi và năng lực thiêng mới có thể giữ ánh nhìn nơi Ngài. Cảnh ấy nhấn mạnh rằng chính sức mạnh tâm linh và sự minh triết đạo đức—chứ không phải địa vị vương quyền—mới quyết định ai có thể đối diện chân lý mà không chùn bước.
