Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 5 — Karmaphala-Nirdeśa and Phalāśruti (कर्मफलनिर्देशः फलश्रुतिश्च)
स नर: सर्वकामांश्व कीर्ति प्राप्पेह शौनक । गच्छेत् परमिकां सिद्धिमत्र मे नास्ति संशय:
sa naraḥ sarvakāmāṁś ca kīrtiṁ prāpya iha śaunaka | gacchet paramikāṁ siddhim atra me nāsti saṁśayaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Hỡi Śaunaka, người nào lắng nghe thiên sử thi thánh thiện do Vyāsa trước tác—ý nghĩa thâm sâu, uy quyền sánh với Veda—tôn đặt các Brāhmaṇa ở hàng đầu, thì ngay trong đời này được mọi hưởng thụ như ý và danh tiếng cao quý, rồi sau đó đạt đến sự toàn thiện tối thượng. Về điều ấy, ta không hề nghi ngờ.
