सान्त्वनं रक्षणं दानमवस्था चाप्यभीक्षणश: । गोमिनां पार्थ कर्तव्य: संविभाग: प्रियाणि च
sāntvanaṁ rakṣaṇaṁ dānam avasthā cāpy abhīkṣṇaśaḥ | gomināṁ pārtha kartavyaḥ saṁvibhāgaḥ priyāṇi ca ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Hỡi Pārtha, đối với những người sở hữu gia súc (cộng đồng Vaiśya), phải nhiều lần ban lời trấn an, che chở bảo vệ, trợ giúp vật chất, và không ngừng gắng sức để giữ cho cảnh ngộ của họ được ổn định. Cũng nên chia sẻ những thứ thiết yếu và thường xuyên làm điều khiến họ vừa lòng.”
