अथात्र नारायणगीतमाहु- महर्षयस्तात महानुभावा: । महार्थमत्यन्ततप:प्रयुक्तं तदुच्यमानं हि मया निबोध

Transliteration

athātra nārāyaṇagītam āhur maharṣayas tāta mahānubhāvāḥ | mahārtham atyantatapaḥprayuktaṃ tad ucyamānaṃ hi mayā nibodha, tāta ||

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: “Này con yêu, về việc này các bậc đại thánh hiền thường nhắc đến ‘Nārāyaṇa-gītā’—một lời dạy có ý nghĩa thâm sâu, được thốt ra dưới sức thúc đẩy của khổ hạnh mãnh liệt. Nay ta thuật lại; con hãy lắng nghe chăm chú, hỡi con.”
