Sūrya–Nāga Dialogue on the Perfected Gleaner-Ascetic

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights śraddhā and vinaya: divine instruction (ājñā) is to be received with reverence (śirasā) and carried out as dharma. The Lord’s disappearance underscores that responsibility now rests on the recipient to uphold cosmic order through faithful action.

After being instructed by Hari regarding the ordinance of creation (or the task to be undertaken), the recipient responds “bāḍham” (“certainly/so be it”) and accepts the command with bowed head. Having delivered the directive, the Blessed Lord vanishes on the spot.
