Prāyaścitta and Contextual Non-Culpability (प्रायश्चित्त-निमित्त-अदोषवाद)

निवेश्यं तु पुनस्तेन सदा तारयता हा | नतु स्त्रिया भवेद्‌ दोषो न तु सा तेन

niveśyaṃ tu punas tena sadā tārayatā hā | na tu striyā bhaved doṣo na tu sā tena lipyate ||

Vyāsa nói: Sau khi người anh trai đã kết hôn, người em trai vốn đã cưới trước đó nên cử hành lại nghi lễ hôn phối vì mục đích cứu độ tổ tiên. Làm như vậy thì không mắc lỗi vì người phụ nữ ấy; và người phụ nữ ấy cũng không bị vấy bởi bất cứ lỗi nào phát sinh từ người đàn ông đó.
