Nāgendra–Brāhmaṇa Saṃvāda: Praśna-vidhi and Dharmic Approach on the Gomatī Riverbank

धरण्यामथ लीनायामप्सु चैकार्णवे पुरा । ज्योतिर्भूते जले चापि लीने ज्योतिषि चानिले

dharaṇyām atha līnāyām apsu caikārṇave purā | jyotir-bhūte jale cāpi līne jyotiṣi cānile, nṛpaśreṣṭha adya tvaṁ pañcabhūtānām ātyantika-pralayasya vṛttāntaṁ śṛṇu |

Vaiśampāyana nói: “Hỡi bậc vương giả tối thượng, nay hãy nghe về cuộc đại tiêu vong rốt ráo của năm đại. Thuở xưa, khi đất tan vào nước của đại dương vũ trụ duy nhất; và nước—hóa thành ánh sáng—tan vào ánh sáng; ánh sáng tan vào gió; toàn thể cõi rộng lớn bị nuốt dần từng bậc. Khi mọi hình tướng rút về những nguyên nhân vi tế hơn của chúng, thì không còn phân biệt được gì ở bất cứ nơi đâu—chỉ có bóng tối, và không gì khác.”
