Puruṣaikatva-vyākhyāna: The One Virāṭ Puruṣa and the Many ‘Puruṣas’
Rudra–Brahmā Saṃvāda
garutmān atha vikṣipya pakṣau mārutavegavān | viveśa vivaraṃ bhūmer yatrāste pārthivo vasuḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: Bấy giờ Garuḍa, nhanh như gió, dang rộng đôi cánh mà bay. Nhận mệnh lệnh xong, ngài chui vào khe mở của lòng đất, xuống cõi dưới nơi vua Vasu đang ngự trú.
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined responsiveness: once a legitimate command or duty is received, one should act decisively and without hesitation, using one’s full capacity to accomplish the task.
Garuḍa, moving with wind-like speed, spreads his wings and enters a fissure in the earth, descending to the subterranean realm where King Vasu is dwelling.
