Nāmānirukta of Nārāyaṇa (Keśava–Viṣṇu–Vāsudeva) and the Rudra–Nārāyaṇa Unity Theme
एतन्मनो<नुकूलं मे भवानहीतति भाषितुम् | सर्वज्ञ: सर्वदर्शी च सर्वत्र च कुतूहली
etan mano'nukūlaṃ me bhavān āhītati bhāṣitum | sarvajñaḥ sarvadarśī ca sarvatra ca kutūhalī |
Bhīṣma nói: “Những điều ngài nói hoàn toàn thuận với lòng ta. Quả thật, chỉ ngài mới xứng đáng nói như thế—bậc toàn tri, toàn kiến, và luôn khởi tâm ham tìm hiểu mọi việc ở khắp nơi.”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse underscores ethical deference to genuine wisdom: speech that aligns with dharma and sound understanding is best received from one who is discerning, far-seeing, and sincerely inquisitive.
Bhishma responds approvingly to a prior speaker’s words, affirming that the statement matches his own understanding and praising the speaker’s qualities—omniscience, clear vision, and a constant desire to know.
