एतस्यापि च संख्यानं वेदवेदाड्भगपारगै: | दशकल्पसहस्राणि पादोनान्यहरुच्यते

Transliteration

yājñavalkya uvāca | etasyāpi ca saṅkhyānaṃ vedavedāṅgaparagaiḥ | daśa-kalpa-sahasrāṇi pādonāny ahar ucyate ||

Translation

Yājñavalkya nói: Ngay cả phép tính về thước đo vũ trụ này cũng được những bậc tinh thông Veda và Vedāṅga nêu rõ. Họ tuyên rằng “một ngày” của Phạm Thiên là mười nghìn kalpa trừ đi một phần tư—tức còn 7.500 kalpa. Lời dạy ấy đặt thời gian của con người vào trong vũ trụ đạo lý rộng lớn (dharma), khơi dậy lòng khiêm cung và tầm nhìn xa về đời sống, bổn phận và dòng dài của trật tự.
