श्रीसमृद्धं तदा दृष्टवा नारदं देवरूपिणम्‌ | सुकुमारी प्रदुद्राव परपत्यभिशड्कया

Transliteration

śrīsamṛddhaṃ tadā dṛṣṭvā nāradaṃ devarūpiṇam | sukumārī pradudrāva parapathyabhiśaṅkayā |

Translation

Bấy giờ, thấy Nārada rực rỡ, huy hoàng như một vị thần, nàng Sukumārī lập tức bỏ chạy, bị nỗi ngờ vực chiếm lấy rằng ngài có thể là phu quân của một người đàn bà khác. Câu chuyện nêu rõ: nỗi sợ phạm vào lễ nghĩa hôn phối và pháp tắc xã hội (dharma) có thể khiến con người hành động tức thời theo bản năng, ngay cả trước một bậc hiền thánh đáng tôn kính với dung mạo chói lòa, siêu phàm.
