सतोये<न्यत्‌ तु यत्‌ तोयं तस्मिन्नेव प्रसिच्यते । वृद्धे वृद्धिमवाप्रोति सलिले सलिलं यथा

Transliteration

satoye'nyat tu yat toyaṃ tasminneva prasicyate | vṛddhe vṛddhim avāpnoti salile salilaṃ yathā rājann |

Translation

Parāśara nói: “Tâu Đại vương, như khi đổ thêm nước vào một bình đã có nước, nước trong bình tăng lên vì hòa nhập với phần mới đổ vào; cũng vậy, công đức đã tích lũy từ trước sẽ tăng trưởng khi người ta lại làm thêm những thiện nghiệp mới trong cùng một tinh thần. Đức hạnh cũ và đức hạnh mới hợp nhất, và nhờ sự tăng trưởng ấy, con người ngày càng trở nên giàu công đức.”
