नक्तंचर्या दिवास्वप्रमालस्यं पैशुनं मदम्‌ | अतियोगमयोगं च श्रेयसो<र्थी परित्यजेत्‌

naktaṃcaryā divāsvapram ālasyaṃ paiśunaṃ madam | atiyogam ayogaṃ ca śreyaso 'rthī parityajet ||

Nārada nói: Người cầu phúc lợi chân thật nên từ bỏ các thói quen này: lang thang ban đêm, ngủ ban ngày, biếng nhác, nói xấu gieo chuyện, say sưa, và cả hai cực đoan—buông thả quá mức và kiêng tuyệt đối—trong chế độ ăn uống và nếp sống. Sự tự chế như vậy nâng đỡ một đời sống hướng về điều thiện.
