यदूर्ध्व पादतलयोरवाड़ मूर्थ्नश्व॒ पश्यसि । एतस्मिन्नेव कृत्स्नेयं वर्तते बुद्धिरन्तरे

yad ūrdhvaṃ pāda-talayor avāṅ mūrdhnaś ca paśyasi | etasminn eva kṛtsneyam vartate buddhir antare ||

Bhīṣma nói: “Bất cứ phần nào của thân thể mà ngươi quan sát—từ trên lòng bàn chân cho đến đỉnh đầu—trong toàn bộ khung thân này, năng lực hiểu biết (buddhi) vẫn vận hành, thấm nhuần nội thể. Lời dạy ấy chỉ ra sự hiện diện vi tế của trí tuệ khắp đời sống hữu thân, dẫn dắt sự phân biệt và hạnh kiểm.”
