Adhyāya 284: Tapas as a Corrective to Household Attachment

सदा चारक्षप्रियो धूर्तो गणाध्यक्षो गणाधिप: । रक्तमाल्याम्बरधरो गिरिशो गिरिकप्रिय:

Transliteration

sadā cārākṣapriyo dhūrto gaṇādhyakṣo gaṇādhipaḥ | raktamālyāmbaradharo giriśo girikpriyaḥ ||

Translation

Bhīṣma nói: “Ngài luôn ưa trò xúc xắc, khôn khéo mưu lược, và nổi danh là vị giám chủ, chúa tể của các gaṇa (đoàn tùy tùng). Ngài mặc y phục đỏ và đeo vòng hoa đỏ; Ngài là Girīśa, Chúa tể núi non, và Ngài vui thích nơi núi.”
