Adhyāya 284: Tapas as a Corrective to Household Attachment
Parāśara’s Instruction
पवित्र च पवित्राणां मड़लानां च मड्जलम् | गिरिको हिंडुको वृक्षो जीव: पुद्गल एव च
pavitraṁ ca pavitrāṇāṁ maṅgalānāṁ ca maṅgalam | giriko hiṇḍuko vṛkṣo jīvaḥ pudgala eva ca ||
Bhishma nói: Ngài là sự thanh tịnh tối thượng trong mọi điều thanh tịnh, là điềm cát tường tối cao trong mọi điều cát tường. Ngài cũng là “Girika”—năng lực đánh thức cả những gì tưởng như vô tri; là “Hiṇḍuka”—đấng vận hành đi và về; là chính cây thế gian; là nguyên lý sinh mệnh cá thể; và là con người mang thân xác.
