Adhyāya 284: Tapas as a Corrective to Household Attachment
Parāśara’s Instruction
यजुर्मयो ऋड्मयश्न त्वमाहुतिमयस्तथा । पठ्यसे स्तुतिभिश्चिव वेदोपनिषदां गणै:
yajur-mayo ṛg-mayaś ca tvam āhuti-mayas tathā | paṭhyase stutibhiś caiva vedopaniṣadāṁ gaṇaiḥ ||
Bhīṣma thưa: “Ngài là tinh túy của Yajurveda và Ṛgveda; Ngài cũng chính là vật phẩm hiến tế trong lễ tế. Toàn thể Veda và Upaniṣad, qua những bài tán tụng, tuyên dương uy đức của Ngài—dạy rằng thực tại tối thượng không tách rời tri thức thánh điển và sự thờ phụng chính pháp, mà là nền tảng nội tại của cả hai.”
