श्रेयो-धर्मकर्मविचारः

इत्येतदाख्यातमहीनसत्त्व नारायणस्येह बल॑ मया ते,उत्कृष्ट बलशाली दैत्यराज! इस प्रकार यहाँ मैंने तुमसे यह भगवान् नारायणका बल एवं प्रभाव बताया है”
ity etad ākhyātam ahīna-sattva nārāyaṇasyeha balaṁ mayā te | utkṛṣṭa-balaśālī daitya-rāja! evaṁ mayātra tubhyaṁ bhagavato nārāyaṇasya balaṁ prabhāvaṁ ca kathitam ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Hỡi bậc dũng khí không hề suy giảm, hỡi vua Daitya hùng mạnh với sức lực vượt trội! Như vậy, tại đây ta đã thuật lại cho ngươi quyền năng và uy quang hiển lộ của đức Nārāyaṇa. Mong sự hiểu biết này kìm giữ lòng kiêu mạn, làm tâm trí vững vàng, và hướng sức mạnh về nẻo chính pháp, chứ không phải ganh đua với thần tính.”
