नच वक्चित् कृते कार्य कर्तारें समवेक्षते
na ca vakcit kṛte kārya kartāraṃ samavekṣate
Bhīṣma nói: “Và sau khi việc đã làm xong, chớ ngoái nhìn tìm một người để coi là kẻ thực hiện (để ghi công hay đổ lỗi).” Trong khuôn khổ đạo lý của Śānti Parva, ý là phải chế ngự tâm, đừng bám chấp vào ‘tác nhân’ sau sự việc—nhất là ham muốn phân phát lời khen hay quy tội—để sự phán đoán vẫn thuận theo dharma, không chạy theo cảm xúc phản ứng.
