Bhṛtya-niyoga: Role-appropriate appointment of servants and protection of the royal treasury (भृत्यनियोगः कोशरक्षणं च)
नाहंवादी न निर्द॑न्द्धो न यर्किंचनकारक: । कृते कर्मण्यमात्यानां कर्ता भृत्यजनप्रिय:
nāhaṃvādī na nirdvandvo na yatkiñcanakārakaḥ | kṛte karmaṇy amātyānāṃ kartā bhṛtyajanapriyaḥ ||
Bhīṣma nói: “Chớ ưa tranh cãi, chớ để mình bị quăng quật bởi những cặp đối đãi. Chớ làm theo mọi xung động vừa khởi lên. Trái lại, hãy chuẩn thuận và nâng đỡ những việc các đại thần đã làm đúng phép, và giữ lòng thương mến đối với tôi tớ cùng những người nương tựa.”
