बभूव श्रीमती राजन् शाण्डिल्यस्य महात्मन: । सुता धृतव्रता साध्वी नियता ब्रह्मचारिणी,“राजन! नियमपूर्वक व्रतधारण और ब्रह्मचर्यपालन करनेवाली वह तेजस्विनी साध्वी महात्मा शाण्डिल्यकी सुपुत्री थी
babhūva śrīmatī rājan śāṇḍilyasya mahātmanaḥ | sutā dhṛtavratā sādhvī niyatā brahmacāriṇī ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Muôn tâu Đại vương, nàng là thiếu nữ rạng rỡ và danh giá—con gái của bậc đại hồn Śāṇḍilya—vững bền trong các lời nguyện, đoan chính trong hạnh kiểm, nghiêm cẩn tự chế, và một lòng giữ hạnh brahmacarya.”
