प्राप्रुयादुपवासेन फल द्वादशवार्षिकम्‌ । 'देवदेवेश्वर! इस तीर्थमें तीन राततक पवित्र भावसे रहकर वास करनेसे मनुष्यको बारह वर्षोके उपवासका फल प्राप्त हो'

prāpnuyād upavāsena phalaṃ dvādaśavārṣikam |

Translation

Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: Ai giữ chay tịnh (upavāsa) tại đây sẽ được công đức tương đương lời nguyện mười hai năm. Đoạn này ca ngợi sự linh thiêng của tīrtha: trú lại ba đêm với tâm thanh tịnh và lòng cung kính thì được quả phúc như khổ hạnh lâu dài, nhấn mạnh sự trong sạch nội tâm và hạnh tu chí thành hơn là chỉ kéo dài gian khổ.
