गदामुसलनाराचशक्तितोमरहस्तया । दृप्तसिंहनिनादिन्या विनद्य प्रययौ गृह:
gadāmusalanārācaśaktitomarahastayā | dṛptasiṃhaninādinīyā vinadya prayayau gṛhaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Tay cầm chùy, chày, tên sắt, giáo và lao phóng, lại gầm vang tiếng sư tử kiêu hùng, người ấy lên đường rồi trở về nhà. Bài kệ nhấn mạnh ý chí dữ dội của chiến binh và sức nặng đạo lý của một xã hội bị chiến tranh nuốt chửng—khi khí giới theo cùng cả những bước đi tưởng như thường nhật.
