ततः प्रीतो महासेनस्त्रिदशे भ्यो वरं ददौ । रिपून्‌ हन्तास्मि समरे ये वो वधचिकीर्षव:

Transliteration

tataḥ prīto mahāsenas tridaśebhyo varaṃ dadau | ripūn hantāsmi samare ye vo vadhacikīrṣavaḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśaṃpāyana nói: Bấy giờ Kumāra Mahāsena, lòng hoan hỷ, ban cho chư thiên một ân huệ: “Trong chiến địa, ta sẽ giết sạch những kẻ thù của các ngươi—những kẻ toan sát hại các ngươi.” Câu kệ đặt ân sủng thần linh như một lời che chở đã thề: niềm vui (prīti) hóa thành lời nguyện, ngăn điều hại đến phe chính nghĩa và hướng sức mạnh vào kẻ xâm phạm.
