Vaiśampāyana nói: “Giữa tiếng kèn và tiếng tù và vang dội, cùng tiếng trống trận rền như sấm; tay cầm binh khí, cờ xí phấp phới, đạo quân ấy bừng sáng—tựa bầu trời thu trong vắt, được điểm trang bằng muôn ánh quang.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how collective martial energy—sound, arms, and standards—can create an overwhelming appearance of glory; ethically, it cautions that splendor and pageantry in war may conceal the suffering and moral peril that battle entails.
The narrator describes a battle-ready force: trumpets, conches, and drums resound while armed warriors stand with raised banners, and the assembled host appears radiant, compared to the clear autumn sky lit with shining lights.
