अन्निहोत्रैस्ततस्तेषां क्रियमाणैर्महात्मनाम् । अशोभत सरिच्छेष्ठा दीप्यमानै: समन्तत:,चारों ओर प्रकाशित हुए उन महात्माओंद्वारा किये जानेवाले यज्ञसे सरिताओंमें श्रेष्ठ सरस्वतीकी बड़ी शोभा हो रही थी
agnihotraistatas teṣāṁ kriyamāṇair mahātmanām | aśobhata saricchreṣṭhā dīpyamānaiḥ samantataḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Rồi khi những bậc đại hồn ấy cử hành lễ agnihotra, sông Sarasvatī—bậc nhất trong các dòng sông—bỗng rực rỡ hơn bội phần, bốn phía đều được soi sáng bởi những ngọn lửa tế lễ đang bùng cháy.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the sustaining power of dharma through daily Vedic duty (agnihotra): righteous, disciplined action can create sanctity and order, making even the surrounding environment radiant and spiritually charged.
The narrator describes great-souled men performing agnihotra rites near the Sarasvatī; the river is portrayed as shining beautifully, lit all around by the sacrificial fires.
