भीमसेनस्य कौरवसुतवधः तथा श्रुतर्वावधः
Slaying of Kaurava princes and the fall of Śrutarvā
तानपास्य गता: केचित् पुनरेव युयुत्सव:
tān apāsya gatāḥ kecit punar eva yuyutsavaḥ
Sañjaya thưa: “Có kẻ quăng mặc họ mà rút lui; nhưng kẻ khác, vẫn khát khao giao chiến, lại quay trở vào. Câu ấy nêu rõ sự chao đảo của ý chí trong chiến trận: người thì bỏ bãi khi bị dồn ép, người lại vì bổn phận, kiêu hãnh hay tuyệt vọng mà lao trở lại cuộc tranh hùng.”
