Adhyāya 14: Śalya’s Missile-Pressure and the Pāṇḍava Convergence (शल्यस्य शरवर्षम्)
नैतादृशं दृष्टपूर्व राजन् नैव च न श्रुतम्
naitādṛśaṃ dṛṣṭapūrva rājann naiva ca na śrutam
Sanjaya thưa: Tâu Đại vương, chưa từng thấy điều như thế, cũng chưa từng nghe nói đến. Khoảnh khắc ấy được kể như một việc chưa từng có—một cú chấn động đạo lý trong thiên truyện chiến tranh—khi những chuẩn mực quen thuộc của chiến trận và hành vi con người dường như bị vượt quá hoặc bị đảo lộn.
