अश्वत्थाम-शापः, परिक्षिद्भविष्यत्, मणि-न्यासः
Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution
ततो राज्ञाभ्यनुज्ञातो भीमसेनो महाबल: । प्रददौ त॑ मर्णिं दिव्यं वचन चेदमब्रवीत्
tato rājñābhyanujñāto bhīmaseno mahābalaḥ | pradadau taṁ maṇiṁ divyaṁ vacanaṁ cedam abravīt ||
Bấy giờ, được nhà vua chuẩn thuận, Bhīmasena, bậc đại lực, dâng viên bảo châu thần diệu ấy và cất lời như sau. Khoảnh khắc này nêu rõ kỷ luật ngay cả sau cơn bạo liệt: sức mạnh phải bị ràng buộc bởi quyền uy chính đáng, và chiến lợi phẩm quý giá được trao nộp theo đúng phép tắc, không phải giành lấy chỉ bằng vũ lực.
