अश्वत्थाम-शापः, परिक्षिद्भविष्यत्, मणि-न्यासः
Aśvatthāman’s Curse, Parikṣit’s Future, and the Mani’s Restitution
तब राजाकी आज्ञा पाकर महाबली भीमसेनने वह दिव्य मणि द्रौपदीके हाथमें दे दी और इस प्रकार कहा-- ।।
tataḥ rājñaḥ ājñāṃ prāpya mahābalī bhīmasenaḥ sāṃ divyāṃ maṇiṃ draupadyāḥ haste nyadadhāt, idaṃ ca uvāca— ayaṃ bhadre tava maṇiḥ putrahantur jitaḥ sa te | uttiṣṭha śokam utsṛjya kṣātradharmam anusmara, bhadre ||
Nhận mệnh lệnh của nhà vua, Bhīmasena, bậc đại lực, đặt viên bảo châu thần diệu ấy vào tay Draupadī và nói: “Thưa phu nhân, đây là bảo châu của nàng—chiến lợi phẩm đoạt từ Aśvatthāmā, kẻ sát hại các con nàng. Kẻ thù của nàng, chúng ta đã khuất phục rồi. Nay hãy đứng dậy, gạt bỏ sầu đau, và nhớ lấy kṣatriya-dharma—bổn phận của hàng võ sĩ.”

After Aśvatthāmā’s night massacre, he is subdued and his divine jewel is taken. On the king’s instruction, Bhīma hands that jewel to Draupadī, declaring that the killer of her sons has been defeated, and he exhorts her to rise from mourning and remember kṣatriya duty.
