अभिप्रायेण पार्थानां कृष्णस्य च महात्मन: । पुण्ये5हनि महातेजा: कृतकौतुकमड्ल:ः

Transliteration

abhiprāyeṇa pārthānāṃ kṛṣṇasya ca mahātmanaḥ | puṇye 'hani mahātejāḥ kṛtakautukamaṅgalaḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana nói: Theo ý nguyện của các Pāṇḍava và của Kṛṣṇa bậc đại tâm, Maya rực rỡ quyết định dựng đại sảnh. Vào một ngày cát tường, sau khi cử hành các nghi lễ theo lệ—lời chúc phúc, tụng đọc cầu an và những nghi thức cầu lành khác—ông kính đãi hàng nghìn brāhmaṇa danh giá bằng lễ vật và của cải ban tặng. Rồi ông bắt đầu đo đạc khu đất mỹ lệ, mang vẻ đẹp thần diệu, xứng đáng hội đủ tinh hoa của mọi mùa, để làm nền cho đại sảnh ấy.
