ततो<पश्यन्महात्मा स स्वसैन्यं भूशदु:खितम् । ततो<वस्थाप्य राजेन्द्र कृतबुद्धिस्तवात्मज:
tato ’paśyan mahātmā sa svasainyaṃ bhūśa-duḥkhitam | tato ’vasthāpya rājendra kṛtabuddhis tavātmajaḥ ||
Sañjaya thưa: Rồi vị dũng sĩ tâm hồn cao cả ấy, thấy quân mình chìm trong khổ nạn nặng nề, liền tự trấn định lại. Hỡi bậc tối thượng trong hàng quân vương, vương tử của bệ hạ đã quyết ý, bèn đứng vững tại chỗ—kiên định giữa nỗi thống khổ của binh sĩ mình.
