रथज्यातलनिद्वदिर्बाणसिंहरवैस्तथा । तौ रथावभिधावन्तौ समालोक्य महीक्षिताम्‌

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | rathajyātalanidvair bāṇasiṃharavaistathā | tau rathāvabhidhāvantau samālokya mahīkṣitām |

Translation

Sañjaya nói: Giữa tiếng dây cung bật vang, tiếng cung chạm vào lòng bàn tay, tiếng tên rít gió và tiếng hò chiến trận như sư tử, hai cỗ chiến xa lao thẳng vào nhau. Thấy hai chiến xa xông tới đối mặt—và thấy những lá cờ hiệu của họ áp sát nhau—các vua chúa tụ hội nơi ấy đều kinh ngạc. Cờ của Karṇa mang phù hiệu xích sắt của voi, còn trên cờ của Arjuna đội vương miện là Vānara hiển hiện (Hanumān) ngồi uy nghi.
