सुदुर्गमा सुविषमा घोरात्यर्थ सुदुर्दशा । रणभूमिरभूद् राजन् महावैतरणी यथा
sudurgamā suviṣamā ghorātyartha sudurdaśā | raṇabhūmir abhūd rājan mahāvaitaraṇī yathā ||
Sañjaya nói: Tâu Đại vương, chiến địa trở nên hoàn toàn không thể vượt qua và đầy hiểm trở—kinh hoàng đến khôn lường, như một cảnh tượng tai ương tột độ—tựa chính dòng Vaitaraṇī vĩ đại.
