कर्णनिधनवृत्तान्तनिवेदनम् | Reporting Karṇa’s Fall to Yudhiṣṭhira
सत्यं मया सदा वाच्यमिति तस्याभवद् व्रतम् । सत्यवादीति विख्यात: स तदा55सीद्ू धनंजय,धनंजय! उसने यह नियम ले लिया था कि मैं सदा सत्य ही बोलूँगा। इसलिये उन दिनों वह सत्यवादीके नामसे विख्यात हो गया था
satyaṃ mayā sadā vācyam iti tasyābhavad vratam | satyavādīti vikhyātaḥ sa tadāsīd dhanaṃjaya ||
Ông lập một lời nguyện: “Ta phải luôn nói sự thật.” Nhờ quyết tâm ấy, hỡi Dhanaṃjaya, vào thời bấy giờ ông nổi danh với tên gọi “người nói thật.”
