अध्याय ६० — कर्णस्य पाञ्चाल-सोमक-निग्रहः

Karna’s Suppression of the Panchala–Somaka Forces

इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ााभारत कर्णपर्वनें श्रीकृष्ण और अर्जुनका संवादविषयक साठवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

sañjaya uvāca | sārathis tam apovāha rathena rathināṃ varam | kuru-sainyaṃ tataḥ sarvaṃ bhīmasenam upādravat ||

Sañjaya nói: Người đánh xe liền mau chóng đưa vị dũng sĩ bậc nhất ấy rời khỏi nơi đó bằng chiến xa. Bấy giờ toàn quân Kuru ào lên và xông vào công kích Bhīmasena. Giữa cơn binh lửa dồn dập, sự rút lui theo mưu lược và cuộc tấn công tập thể trở thành then chốt, trong khi sức nặng của bạo lực và bổn phận vẫn lơ lửng trên từng bước đi.
