निमग्नं तं रथं मत्वा नेदु: संशप्तका मुदा । सेनाओंकी उस विशाल भँवरमें जो पातालतलके समान प्रतीत होता था, अर्जुनके उस रथको निमग्न हुआ मानकर संशप्तक सैनिक प्रसन्न हो सिंहनाद करने लगे

nimagnaṃ taṃ rathaṃ matvā neduḥ saṃśaptakā mudā |
Sañjaya nói: “Tưởng rằng chiến xa của chàng đã bị nhấn chìm, các chiến binh Saṃśaptaka reo hò mừng rỡ. Trong vòng xoáy mênh mông của binh đoàn—tựa một vực sâu khó thoát như cõi âm—họ lầm tưởng chiến xa của Arjuna đã bị nuốt chửng, liền gầm lên tiếng thắng trận; cho thấy nơi chiến địa, điều mắt thấy có thể lập tức hóa thành niềm tin và cuộc ăn mừng, ngay cả khi sự thật còn chưa tỏ.”
