बलिभिर्दप्तशार्टूलैरादित्यो $भिनिरी क्ष्यते । “देखो, चारों दिशाओंमें नाना प्रकारके पशुसमुदाय तथा बलवान् एवं स्वाभिमानी सिंह सूर्यकी ओर देख रहे हैं
balibhir daptśārṭūlair ādityo 'bhinirīkṣyate |
Sañjaya nói: “Hãy nhìn—khắp bốn phương, từng đàn thú muôn loài, cùng những sư tử mạnh mẽ và kiêu hãnh, đều ngước mắt về phía Mặt Trời.” Hình ảnh ấy gợi một điềm dữ đầy thiên nhiên: ngay cả kẻ cường tráng, tự phụ cũng hướng nhìn nhân chứng vũ trụ, như thể chờ đợi một bước ngoặt quyết định của đạo lý và số mệnh trong cuộc chiến.
