सुरपतिसमविक्रमस्तत- स्त्रिदशवरावरजोपमं युधि । दिनकरकिरणप्रभै: पृषत्कै रवितनयो< भ्यहनच्छिनिप्रवीरम्‌

Transliteration

surapati-samavikramas tataḥ tridāśa-vara-avarajopamaṃ yudhi | dinakara-kiraṇa-prabhaiḥ pṛṣatkaiḥ ravitanayo 'bhyahanac chinipravīram ||

Translation

Sañjaya nói: Khi ấy Karṇa, con của Thần Mặt Trời, dũng mãnh sánh ngang Indra, đã ra tay trên chiến địa đánh vào dũng tướng bậc nhất của dòng Śini là Sātyaki—mạnh như Upendra (Viṣṇu), em của chúa tể chư thiên—làm ông bị thương bằng những mũi tên rực cháy như tia nắng mặt trời.
