कर्णस्य दानप्रतिज्ञा–शल्योपदेश–वाक्ययुद्धम्

इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत कर्णपर्वमें संशप्तकोंकी पराजयविषयक सत्ताईसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ ॥/ २७ ॥। नशा (0) आज अत +> अष्टाविशोश् ध्याय: युधिष्ठिर और दुर्योधनका युद्ध
sañjaya uvāca | yudhiṣṭhiraṃ mahārāja visṛjantaṃ śarān bahūn | svayaṃ duryodhano rājā pratyagṛhṇād abhītavat ||
Sañjaya nói: Hỡi Đại vương, khi Yudhiṣṭhira không ngừng phóng ra vô số mũi tên, thì chính vua Duryodhana đã đối mặt trực diện, đón nhận thế công như một dũng sĩ không biết sợ. Cảnh ấy đặt nghĩa vụ của bậc quân vương và lòng can đảm cá nhân vào trong đạo lý nghiệt ngã của cuộc đối đầu nơi chiến địa.
