Śalya’s Objection to Sārathya and Duryodhana’s Conciliation (शल्यमन्यु-प्रशमनम् / Sārathyāṅgīkāra)
अथास्य तं रथं दिव्यं तिलशो व्यधमच्छरै: । पताकां चक्ररक्षांश्ष॒ गदां खड्गं च मारिष
athāsya taṁ rathaṁ divyaṁ tilaśo vyadhamac charaiḥ | patākāṁ cakrarakṣāṁś ca gadāṁ khaḍgaṁ ca māriṣa
Sañjaya nói: Rồi chàng dùng tên bắn tan chiếc chiến xa huy hoàng như cõi trời ấy thành từng mảnh; lại hạ cả lá cờ, các tấm hộ bánh xe, cùng chùy và kiếm—hỡi bậc đáng kính. Câu kệ nhấn mạnh sự chính xác lạnh lùng của tài nghệ chiến trường: ngay cả những biểu tượng tôn nghiêm của danh dự và che chở cũng bị phá hủy có phương pháp, nhắc người nghe rằng trong chiến tranh, sức mạnh thường lấn át mọi dấu hiệu của vinh dự và bảo hộ.
