Karṇa-parva Adhyāya 20 — Yudhiṣṭhira–Duryodhana Encounter and Escalation of Arms
तेन शब्देन महता संद्ृष्ठ श्चक़्ुराहवम् । वीरा वीरैर्महाघोरं कलहान्तं तितीर्षव:
tena śabdena mahatā saṃdṛṣṭaś cakṣur āhavam | vīrā vīrair mahāghoraṃ kalahāntaṃ titīrṣavaḥ ||
Sañjaya nói: Bị khuấy động bởi tiếng gầm vang ấy, các chiến sĩ chăm chú nhìn vào chiến địa. Khát khao đưa cuộc xung đột đi đến tận cùng, những anh hùng—anh hùng đối diện anh hùng—tràn đầy hân hoan và quyết tâm, lao vào một trận giao tranh ghê gớm nhất với các dũng tướng phe đối địch.
