क्रोशतां चैव योधानां त्वरितानां परस्परम् । बभूव तुमुल: शब्दो दिवस्पृक् सुमहांस्तत:
krośatāṃ caiva yodhānāṃ tvaritānāṃ parasparam | babhūva tumulaḥ śabdo divaspṛk sumahāṃs tataḥ prajānātha |
Sañjaya thưa: Khi các chiến binh hối hả lao đi, gọi nhau vang dội, liền dấy lên một tiếng gầm hỗn mang mênh mông—mạnh đến nỗi như chạm thẳng vào trời cao, hỡi bậc chúa tể loài người. Chiến địa phồng lên bởi tiếng hô thúc giục, bởi sự tập kết binh lực và sức ép của cuộc giao tranh sắp ập tới, báo hiệu sức nặng đạo lý và đà tiến không thể đảo ngược của chiến tranh.
