Garuḍa Array and the Ardhacandra Counter-Formation
साड्दा बाहवश्चैव धनूंषि च समन्ततः । रथेषां रथचक्राणि तूणीराणि युगानि च
sāḍḍā bāhavaś caiva dhanūṁṣi ca samantataḥ | ratheṣāṁ rathacakrāṇi tūṇīrāṇi yugāni ca, jighāṁsantaṁ yudhāṁ śreṣṭha tadā ’sīt tumulaṁ mahat ||
Sañjaya thưa: “Tâu Đại vương, khi ấy một trận chiến mênh mông, cuồng loạn đã bùng lên. Tên bay tứ phía, chém đứt cánh tay cùng giáp tay, chặt gãy cung; cột xe, bánh xe, ống tên và ách xe cũng bị đập tan. Thế là, ngay trong việc mưu sát bậc nhất chiến sĩ, các bên đã trút ra một bạo lực khiến cả khí giới chiến tranh—và thân xác cầm nắm chúng—đều thành đống đổ nát, phơi bày sự rối bện giữa bảo vệ và hủy diệt trên chiến địa.”
